I Heart Faces ~ Cell Phone

I heart Faces Cell Phone! I love my iphone and I love my Canon! But not always being able to be a mom in mom mode means having easy access to a phone! And, there are so many great apps out there that make it lots of fun!









This is Max. We are a family that loves spring, summer and baseball! It was in the 70's yesterday so off we went for a little batting practice. This will be his first year in T-ball and he has the concept down but the facial expressions he makes are priceless!

This was taken with the camera bag app photo in Helga then uploaded to Instagram and ~ Tah Dah!

I heart Faces Winter Wonderland

Winter, it's usually blah here in the plains. We have flat ground and our snow is usually drifted and not so pretty. I decided to add some color this year. Winter is long enough and we all need a little sunshine in our lives right? This is my neighbors little girl, she's aDORAble! So, off we went on Sunday afternoon for a little sun + snow = Sweet little Serenity!

I heart Faces ~ Drama

Drama~ It's a normal thing in our lives. And I honestly thought this weeks photo would come from the princess. I never thought it would be Max. From what I understand Max was fired. He was apparently playing a little too close to the street for dad's comfort and the only thing he could think of was MAX, "Your Fired." Max was obviously devastated as you can tell in the picture. All he kept saying to me was, "mom I'm fired and daddy isn't my friend anymore." Of course like every good photographer and mom I grabbed the camera.

I heart Faces PINK!

When I think pink as a nurse I think of Breast Cancer. I think of all the patients I've taken care of through my 16 years of working in healthcare. I think of all the HUGE progress that's been made in surgeries and advances in finding a cure. And then, I think of her and I hope that one day she'll never have to worry about hearing the words Breast Cancer. She just may be the one, the one who finds the cure. It's hope for the generation to come.

I ♥ Faces Birthday's and Pets

I ♥ Faces Birthday's and Pets! 

This weeks challenge Birthdays! For this, I had to go back to find one that was just right. This is Mophead when he turned 1 before all the curls. You may have seen him here and here in recent posts. I love this photo, he was so exhausted. My parents live on a farm in South Central Kansas and the kids love it there. Trying to get them to actually slow down and take a nap is near to impossible. That's the explanation here! And how could I not take that photo?  

Pets, I always love this category! We don't have a pet yet. CP (hubby) and I don't feel like the kids are ready for that yet! This picture makes my heart melt. Madeline loves animals. She's so sweet and this picture of her and Tikki (my parents dog she named) puts all her feelings out there. I know when we do get that special pet she'll love it more than anything!

I ♥ Faces Hats!

This weeks I ♥ Faces contest is Hats! I love hats! I love for my kids to wear hats too, however they don't anymore! I had to do some serious searching for these. I had several I liked but this was my favorite. This is Madeline at about 6 months old. She's 6 1/2 now! They grow up so fast!

For the adult contest I didn't really have any. So, I did another self portrait of me in my favorite hat!

I ♥ Faces Contest Easter/Spring

It's time for I ♥ Faces Contest again. This week is Easter/Spring. 

I could have picked a million pictures for this one. Really, I could have. But, when I think of Easter or Spring the thing that comes to mind is Flowers. So, I went on a hunt and found one of my favorite pictures. This is my Madeline last year. I always attempt to do at least 3 shoots with my own kids during the year and this was one of them. She has on a really perfect blue dress and is smelling my favorite flower. My favorite part is her eyes. Happy Spring Everyone! And thank you I heart faces for bringing us all together to celebrate spring and photography!
